Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is “Your Spiritual Journey?”
A: It’s a free e-mail newsletter that is published twice a week – on Tuesday and Friday. The newsletter invites the reader to explore his or her own path of spiritual growth.
Q: What topics are covered in the newsletter?
A: A wide range of topics will be covered. Here are some of the subject areas:
* Recognizing your spiritual nature and connection to a Higher Power or divine energy source
* Finding peace of mind
* Reconciling our spiritual lives with our work environment
* How to diminish the destructive power of the ego
* The benefits of living in the present moment
* Understanding the synchronicities in your life
* Giving up resistance and getting in the flow of life
* Accessing intuitive guidance
* Having the courage to live an authentic life
* Discussing some of the current trends that drain our spirit
* What we can learn from nature
* The role of pain and suffering on the spiritual path
* Where positive thinking and self-development fit in on the spiritual path
Note: You’ll find that many other topics will be covered as well. One thing about this newsletter: you will find the unexpected at times!
Q: Does the newsletter endorse or encourage any particular religion?
A: NO. The newsletter embraces all religions – and also embraces those who have spiritual beliefs outside of any “organized” religion. We also respect those who have no belief in a Higher Power or divine energy. We are not telling you what to believe or providing your “answers.” We believe that only you can discover your unique spiritual path and we want to facilitate your journey.
From time to time, we will include some material that refers to a particular religion or spiritual tradition – and we will have some Contributors who practice a religion or other spiritual discipline. This is not an endorsement of that religion or practice. It is simply presenting a spiritual viewpoint – and you are free to make your own evaluation of the material presented.
Q: Who writes the essays in the newsletter?
A: Most of the essays are written by Jeff Keller. As some of you know, Jeff was an attorney in his “first life,” and then made a transition to being a motivational speaker/author. Jeff now focuses his writing and speaking on issues of spiritual growth.
We will also be including some essays from guest Contributors, since we want to offer you a variety of viewpoints. On some occasions, we will direct you to other web pages or video resources on the internet.
Q: Are there discussion boards or places on the site where visitors can offer their own comments and insights on the topics discussed in the newsletter?
A: We have decided not to include any message boards or comment forums at this time. Message boards or forums can quickly become a battle of egos with one person trying to prove to others that he or she is right and others are wrong.
We also want to encourage you to form your own opinions on these issues, without looking to what others think. Please understand that we welcome your comments and e-mail regarding your own spiritual journey and your insights on the topics covered here. Your comments are welcome whether or not you agree with what we presented. What we won’t engage in is a battle of who is right and who is wrong. Please send any comments or insights you want to share to: jeff@YourSpiritualJourney.net
Q: How do I change my address or Unsubscribe?
A: At the bottom of each issue of the newsletter, you will see a link with information about how to change your e-mail address or unsubscribe.
